Working with Corners, Borders, and Bleeds

A few things to keep in mind if you want to have borders around the edge of your cover or pages: 

In order to keep the binding and trimming of your book consistent and spectacular-looking, please set up any border at least 1/8th of an inch from the edge of the cover or page. 

Also, please note: our rounded corners have a radius of 1/4 of an inch, so you'll want to design accordingly if you want it to line up perfectly! 

We've added a guideline to our templates at 1/8th of an inch from the edge of the cover and the pages so you can tell exactly where that is! It's the red line in both the cover and page templates: 

And remember: if you have artwork that extends to the edge of the cover (in blue above), please extend that artwork all the way to the bleed line (in pink above). That will help to make sure that the final product looks consistent.
